Marlene Baur Larose - President

Marlene Baur Larose is a long-standing leader within the Options community, serving as President of the Board since 2013. A Port Credit real estate business owner, she also serves on the Port Credit BIA Board. Marlene has a daughter who has been part of Options’ programs and staff team for more than a decade, giving her a deep understanding of the needs of participants and families. Her lived experience, business insight, and strong community ties continue to strengthen Options’ mission of inclusive, person-centred employment and help guide the organization’s growth with care and purpose.

​Bill Penny - Director

Bill Penny joined the Board of Directors after serving as Executive Director of Options Mississauga for 20 years. Prior to his leadership at Options, Bill built a successful career in financial planning and has been an active volunteer in charitable causes for nearly 50 years. His deep organizational knowledge, historical insight, and long-standing commitment to inclusive employment continue to guide thoughtful decision-making. Bill’s steady leadership and compassion help ensure that Options remains a supportive second home and a place of opportunity for participants and their families.

​Edward Vesel - Treasurer

Edward Vesel has served as Treasurer on Options Mississauga’s Board of Directors since 2017, building strong collaborative relationships with co-workers, staff, and fellow Board members. With senior finance leadership experience across private equity, publicly traded mining companies, and public accounting, he has overseen Finance, IT, People & Culture, Investor Relations, and Compliance portfolios. Edward has led large teams through transformational change, advancing best practices in financial controls, reporting, technology, and talent development. He is a CPA, CA, and holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor.

Dorothy Hagel - Director

Dorothy Hagel, owner of the Hagel law firm in Port Credit, brings extensive legal expertise and a strong commitment to community leadership. She also serves on the Port Credit BIA Board and is deeply engaged in local advocacy and community priorities. At Options, Dorothy provides thoughtful governance oversight and strategic guidance, helping ensure ethical, transparent, and community-rooted decision-making. Her experience, professionalism, and dedication reinforce Options’ mission of dignity, inclusion, and meaningful opportunity for all participants and their families.

​Veronique Lozada - Director

Veronique Lozada has lived in Mississauga since 1982 and has been part of the Options community for more than 20 years as both a parent and Board member. A retired teacher, she deeply values the meaningful training and part-time work opportunities Options provides for her daughter, Corinne—support that brings balance, confidence, and connection to her family. Veronique offers a thoughtful, compassionate perspective grounded in lifelong learning and inclusion. Outside of her board work, she enjoys socializing, volunteering, waterfront walks, reading, and gathering with family and friends, approaching life with gratitude and warmth.
