What is the Options Culinary Program?
The culinary program introduces adults with a mild intellectual disability to cooking and baking skills, along with knowledge that would support their goal of employment in the food services industry. Classes are taught by experienced instructors, in a kitchen licensed for commercial level activity.
Training takes place at the Port Credit Campus of the Christ First church building, 151 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga ON L5H 1G3. Options staff and participants enter the building from the RED side door on the west side Peter Street South to access our training centre. Street parking is available.

Recipes Include:
As a regular feature of the program, participants receive recipes after having hands-on experience with them in class, and may take the food they have prepared home with them.
Program participants also share a percentage of the money raised during culinary fundraising initiatives.
Cost of the Program
The cost of each lesson is $50 and participants attend once a week. The fees for program help to cover the cost of the instructors' wages, program planning, facility rental, the cost of food, equipment, materials, food shopping and delivery.
Program fees are due before the first culinary class each month and receipts are issued. Options Mississauga accepts payments by e-transfer to p[email protected], and also by cash, debit, credit, or cheque payable to Options Mississauga Print and Office Services. Please make arrangements through the Options office when using debit or credit cards (T: 905 274-8663).
