What is the Options
Retail Training Program?
The Retail Training Program (RTP) is for adults diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability, with the goal of finding employment in their community.
Through participating in various projects, and taking on a selection of responsibilities, participants will be trained in various employability skills related to areas such as (but not limited to) general retail work, customer service, print work, and courier services. Schedules and assignments are individual and participation may span any length of time for up to one year as determined by Options Mississauga. In addition to specific work experiences, participants develop general transferable skills such as business etiquette, time management, teamwork, and confidence in the work environment. |
